My camera is bigger than Julien’s :mrgreen: I realized that the camera I had been using to track the laser position in my flight simulator didn’t quite fit with the way everything is arranged now. I remembered I had seen an old camera in the basement, so I went there to check it out. It worked really well and it provides a fantastic picture of the fly. It’s just that it is now the largest piece of the equipment:

I was running office by office to get different certificates and forms for visa and unemployment benefits. I am testing C105 gal 4 lines presently.  Its  better I post the final results. Rest, as usual writing thesis side by side.

Everything is back to normal.

I will post new burstiness analysis in the next post. I am on results section in my thesis at present.

Temporarily I moved to Björn’s room after consulting our members; It was very hard to focus on writing while its dark. I hope Boss is fine with it.

There is a new feature in thunderbird that allow to use google calender efficiently.
you need to install the new thunderbird (e-mail client from mozilla), install the “provider for google calendar” add on, and the lightning add on. then see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:Using_Lightning_with_Google_Calendars for an explanation how to enter each calender. It seems to work fine and allow copy/paste function !

after one week, the pattern of my work here start to emerge: flies are ordered, crossings are planned, and a beautiful side project (waiting for the new flight simulator) is planned:
establish appetitive olfactory learning in Berlin.

My last post-doc dealt with appetitive learning, I would love to do one last control experiment in Berlin with a new protocol. The use of a H-maze will be more “hand-made” paradigm, but if it works well, it may well be developed further…
