Registration of confocal images to brain template

These are my first attempts to register expression patterns of the TH-C-AD;TH-D-DBD split-Gal4 driver to a standard brain template (Image 1, green) via the ‘ants’ package. The idea is to register the nc82 channel to the template to generate a transformation matrix (transformed nc82 signal is shown in red) than can be applied to the GFP channel. The ultimate goal is to use these transformed GFP stainings to identify neurons in the fly brain.

Brain1
Brain 3
Brain 8

To Dos:

  • Verify transformation via QC (Overlay etc.)
  • Capture brains at higher resolution
  • Apply transformation to GFP channel > identify PPL1 neurons?
